Mark studied ‘The Special Engineering Programme’ at Brunel University at both Degree and Masters levels: covering Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering.

During his degree Mark had three industrial placements with British Steel, British Airways and AM Graphics.

He achieved his Chartered Engineers status with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Upon graduation Mark joined Marks and Spencer Plc on their graduate training scheme as a Product Development Technologist.

Mark worked for 17 years for well-known retailers Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Tesco, and Habitat, with extensive UK, European and Far East travel, involving sourcing, factory auditing, product development, approvals and inspections. This was gained across a wide variety of product areas – Homeware products, as well as Fashion Accessories and Apparel.

Mark was the Head of Technology and Quality at Habitat, responsible for managing all aspects of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R.) and the respective teams.

Mark is an experienced and knowledgeable Technical Manager, a trained ISO9000 Lead Auditor, and Ethical Auditor, with a comprehensive understanding and experience in:

Factory Auditing (Technical and Ethical)
Product inspections
Logistics
Supply chain management
